PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE BELGIAN ENGINEER JOSEPH VALENTIN LAVIOLETTE, WHO WAS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE FIRST SPYKER MODELS IN THE EARLY 1900S, INCLUDING THE SPYKER 60 HP RACING CAR DATING FROM 1903, THE WORLDS FIRST FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE SIX-CYLINDER MOTORCAR. THE C8 LAVIOLETTE MIRRORS TO A GREAT EXTENT THE TECHNICAL DESIGN OF THE C8 SPYDER, INCLUDING ITS FULLY ADJUSTABLE STAINLESS STEEL SUSPENSION.
